Funding issues jeopardized this year's festivities.
The Casino Mining Corporation says it will save the Whitehorse Santa Claus Parade.
The company announced its intentions Monday via Twitter. The Yukon News reported Friday that a funding application to Tourism and Culture from parade organizers Unlikely Events Yukon was not approved in time for the event.
As well the City stated it would not cover the $7500 to host the event, putting Santa's arrival in jeopardy. Yet the commitment from Casino Mining, means Santa and his reindeer will be ho-ho-hoing down Main Street this holiday season.
