Police say the noise heard could be from bear banger, fireworks or gun shot.
The RCMP in Carcross are seeking the public's help in solving a noise complaint Saturday, where a single gunshot may have been fired in the Waterfront Drive area of the village.
Mounties say they received the report shortly before 7PM Saturday evening.
Officers went door-to-door and searched the area, but were unsuccessful in locating the noise.
Police say it is possible that the noise heard was that of fireworks or a bear banger.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
