University of Victoria Associate Professor Onowa McIvor, Member of Parliament Romeo Saranash and Eskasoni Mi'kmaw Nation Chief Leroy Denny will all be keynote speakers at the event in Saskatoon.
The First Nations Language Keepers Gathering is taking place at November 21 and 22, 2018 at the Saskatchewan Indigenous Cultural Centre.
The theme this year is "Language First: Keep the Spirit Alive" and the aim of the gathering is to preserve, promote and protect First Nations languages and cultures.
The gathering is in its 13th year and will feature speakers, educators, community leader and students from across Canada and the United States.
