Nine properties targeted for drugs and prostitution.
Yukon's SCAN unit says it has carried out action against nine separate properties in the last six months.
Six properties were shut down in downtown Whitehorse, two in the McIntyre subdivision and one in Porter Creek.
In all cases either the landlord assisted in the eviction, or warnings were given for illegal drug activity.
Two properties were suspected of prostitution in exchange for drugs, while investigations revealed youth frequenting three properties.
Investigators say they observed 128 suspicious visits, indicative of drug activity in just over three days.
The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act allows for landlords and authorities to evict occupants on suspected illegal or criminal activity.
