The video was taken on New Years Eve at the Whitehorse Westmark, where the temperature that night was into the -40's with the windchill.
A video of an Aboriginal man being assaulted by what appears to be a Whitehorse hotel employee, is now being shared widely on Facebook.
The confrontation was recorded on security camera at the Whitehorse Westmark on New Year's Eve.
The temperature that night was into the minus 40's with the wind chill.
APTN reports that the 10 second video shows a larger male employee grabbing the man and pulling him outside.
Both men appear to be punching each other.
A lawyer for the Westmark says the employee did not follow proper procedure and that the video does not tell the entire story.
Lawyer Jordan Veath says the video does not show RCMP arriving within minutes.
Veath says the Indigenous man, who was not a guest refused to leave when ordered to do so. RCMP are looking into the incident, but have declined comment.
Vaeth says there is an internal investigation being conducted and that the employee is still working.
