The collision involved a truck and a 58-year-old male Ontario motorcyclist now deceased
The RCMP has confirmed the death of a motorcyclist involved in a collision on the Dempster Highway.
On June 14, 2024 at 11:24 am, Dawson City RCMP responded to a reported motor vehicle collision approximately at kilometer 200 on the Dempster Highway.
According to the release, the collision involved a truck and a 58-year-old male motorcyclist from Ontario now deceased. The motorcyclist died on the scene.
Police investigation confirms that the two vehicles were driving past each other on the road in opposite directions when the motorcycle tipped over in front of the truck.
The Dempster Highway highway was closed for several hours on Friday June 14 for the investigation.
