Lewes Blvd in Riverdale will be part of traffic pilot project, as city says buses are 17 minutes late.
In an effort to help ease traffic congestion and morning delays in Riverdale, The City is creating a dedicated bus lane.
The pilot project will commence for one week, starting January 15th.
The lane to be located on Lewes blvd will only be open to public transit buses between 7:30 AM and 9AM.
City transit manager Cheri Malo says buses coming out of Riverdale are 17 minutes late during busy mornings.
Pylons will be placed along the route from its start at the Grey Mountain Elementary School to its end at the traffic lights by the Hospital Road.
Parents of students attending Selkirk Elementary School and F.H. Collins Secondary School are reminded not to park along any part of Lewes Boulevard during this pilot project.
