FN's allege fish farm is hurting wild fish.
ALERT BAY, B.C. - First Nations and environmentalists are calling on the British Columbia government to revoke permits for a salmon farm near Alert Bay.
They say the farm is harming wild fish, an allegation the company denies.
The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society released video last week that purported to show diseased salmon in several fish farms in the area.
Biologist and fish farm critic Alexandra Morton says she's never seen anything like it.
But Marine Harvest Canada spokesman Ian Roberts says the farm's salmon are very healthy and none of the footage indicates or proves disease.
Agriculture Minister Lana Popham says she'll raise the issue with First Nations leadership at a conference in Vancouver next week and adds no tenure permits have been approved for fish farms in the province since 2015.
