    Artist interested in becoming the Shakaat artist-in-residence are reminded the deadline to apply is approaching.

    The Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre is proud to host a community based artists in residence program, during the summer tourist season, that will encourage, support and showcase Indigenous art and provide an opportunity for the visiting public to engage with First Nation artists.

    Artists will be required to set up their studio for a three-week period and demonstrate their art form at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre. During their time at the Centre, the artist would also deliver a workshop that is open to the public.

    Funding for this project is made possible through the assistance of Arts Fund and the Department of Tourism and Culture

    Application is open to traditional, contemporary, emerging and master Indigenous artists that practice visual arts, fashion, traditional crafts, dancing and/or drumming.

    The deadline to apply is Monday, April 23, 2018
