More bad news for Yukons economy....at least when it comes to tourism

Ottawa is extending its ban on cruise ships entering Canadian waters until October 31st.

Transportation Minister Marc Garneau says the ban applies to passenger ships with overnight accommodations for more than 100 passengers.

Last year, 140 cruise ships brought more than two-million visitors to Canadian ports and Garneau says the government is looking at what to do about the economic impact the ban will have on the tourism industry. (9)
