A Whitehorse resident is the accused in a series of harassment charges.
Daniel MacKenzie, who in part founded Free the Beat foundation and a safe ride home program called "We're Here to Help", has been arrested.
MacKenzie, 27, of Whitehorse is now facing criminal charges, unrelated to his work with the not-for-profit foundation, of harassment and uttering threats to multiple people.
He was arrested on Dec 29th and made his first appearance in court on Dec 31.
A publication ban on the details of the case has been ordered at his bail hearing on Jan 3rd, at which, he was released on 16 conditions.
Conditions include a curfew at the home of his assurity and a short list of no-contact orders.
He has also been restricted from the use or possession of firearms and banned from the consumption of alcohol and controlled substances.
He is facing a charge of uttering threats to a different accuser and yet another charge of uttering death threats to employees after entering a Yukon Government run facility.
MacKenzie has been in the spotlight since October while attempting to get his safe ride home program off the ground.
