First Nation's Flags Fly at Ayamdigut

    10 of 14 Yukon First Nation's flags fly alongside the colleges traditional flags Yesterday

    Chief Russell Blackjack of the Little Salmon Carmacks FN, stands proudly overlooking the raised flag of his and 9 other First Nations governments, at a ceremony held at the Ayamdigut College Campus in Whitehorse yesterday.

     

    The flags flying represent the; Teslin Tlingit council, Tr'ondek Hwech'in first nation, Carcross/Tagish first nation, first nation of Nacho Nyak Dun, Kwanlin Dun first nation, Kluane first nation, Little Salmon/Carmacks first nation, Vuntut Gwitchin first nation, Ta'an Kwach'an Council and Champagne Aishihik first nation.

     

    White River first nation, Liard River first nation, Selkirk first nation and Ross River Liard River first nation Have yet to be represented at the college but will within a few weeks.
