Total cannabis sales in the Yukon have officially surpassed one million dollars.
According to Yukon Liquor Corporation Marketing and Social Responsibility Coordinator Scott Westerlaken, $1,080,000 have been sold in the Yukon so far between legalization day on October 17th and December 31st in the Territory.
The total sales amount account for both retail and online sales, and Westerlaken says pre-rolled products have been the most popular item from customers so far.
Westerlaken says the government is currently establishing the Cannabis Licensing Board, which will begin to accept applications for private cannabis licenses in the spring of 2019.
Westerlaken says CBD oils and capsules are also in demand in the Territory, and that vendors are in short supply.
