Yukon’s Skills Canada Territorial Competition – April 24, 2021

The Territorial Skills Competition is a one day competition that serves as a contest to test a participant’s skills in a skilled trade or technology area, with a chance to win prize packs to further the development of one’s skill set!

With the generous support of Yukon Government’s Department of Education, Yukon University, and local industry, Skills Canada Yukon will be hosting the Territorial Skills Competition on April 24th, 2021 . This year we will be hosting the competition at a variety of locations, including Yukon University. The Territorial Skills Competition is a one day competition that serves as a contest to test a participant’s skills in a skilled trade or technology area, with a chance to win prize packs to further the development of one’s skill set!

Competitor spots are open in the following Contest Areas:

  • Mechanical Engineering CADD (secondary & post secondary)
  • Plumbing (post secondary)
  • Electrical Installations (secondary & post secondary)
  • Welding (secondary & post secondary)
  • Carpentry (secondary & post secondary)
  • Cabinet making (secondary)
  • Baking (secondary)
  • Mobile Robotics (secondary)
  • Hairstyling (secondary & post secondary)
  • Cooking (secondary & post secondary)
  • Sheet Metal Work (post secondary)
  • Heavy Vehicle Technology (post secondary)
  • Photography (secondary)
  • Outdoor Power & Recreation Equipment (secondary)
  • 2D Animation (secondary)
  • Workplace Safety (secondary)

While the competition is in person, all strict COVID 19 protocols will be in place to ensure that the event is as safe as possible for the community. To participate in this year’s competition, register today at www.skillsyukon.com/register . The deadline to register is March 12th, 2021 . Spots are limited so register early.
